Thank You card

This is a card we made at our Portland gathering. It uses 3 of the new colors, Gypsy, Lagoon and Pear.

The first meal my son cooked all by himself!

I know this has nothing to do with stamping, but here is a picture of the first meal my son actually cooked all by himself. For some reason he came home from school on Tuesday and said he was going to cook dinner the next night. He asked me if I could I please get the groceries he needed. He made out a list and I shopped. While these may look like simple hamburgers, he actually ground the meat himself in the food processor.......who would have thought he could do this! This is a young man who won't even make a PB&J sandwich for himself. He also made the special sauce to put on the burgers. I think it may be as good as "Bob's" was. (Local Salem people will understand this) Can you tell I am just so proud of his gaining independence.

First day of school

Yesterday was the first day of school. I realized I only have two more "first days". Yikes, time really flies. Notice anything unusual in this picture? As in long pants on my baby. Not sure if this is a first (wearing long pants on day one), but it sure is strange seeing him in jeans. Although, the weather was pretty gloomy, so pants did seem to fit the mood of the day.
